Favourite ship: Ovation Of The Seas
Best cruise tip:

Get your land tour plans ready before your ship sets sail. Take your ships daily newsletter with you on sea days so that you know what activities are up and won't miss anything you like.

I started my career in travel industry 10 years ago and have been focused on cruise for 9 yrs. Cruising is the best option for families. You don't need to worry about hotels, food, transportation as you usually do on a traditional land tour. Spend your time on the best things of your vacation and enjoy every moment with your loved ones. Let's take care of all the rest.

Favourite ship: Celebrity Solstice
Best cruise tip:

Check out which ports are famous for what souvenir so you don't purchase everything at the first port of call. Leave plenty of room in your suitcase for your shopping, or pack a carry bag to load with your purchases. The extra bag is also handy for any items you need to "declare" so you don't have to open your main suitcase!

I have worked in travel since 2003 after living abroad in New York, Calgary and London. I took 5 months off in 2009 to travel around Africa, Spain, Turkey and Croatia. Cruising is an awesome way to travel and I love seeing the growth as more and more Australians & Kiwis get to experience the wonder of "unpacking once" and not lifting a finger for the whole holiday!

I made the move to the cruising industry after completing my studies in Travel & Tourism. I always loved the idea of Cruising as you get to see so many different places and only have to unpack once! I have travelled throughout New Zealand, Australia and the beautiful South Pacific Islands.

If you plan on spending any down time in your room away from the cruising social scene, book a balcony cabin and take in the ocean views!

I love travel and have been working within the tourism industry for the past 5 years! Cruising is a great way to travel if you have never been overseas, have a family and children to occupy or even if you're just looking to relax and only unpack once. There are so many great ships there really is something for everyone!

Pre-book Drinks Packages and Shore Tours when possible to make the most of your enjoyment onboard.

I've been involved in the travel industry since 2010, after catching the travel bug while I was overseas in Europe I decided this was the industry I was most passionate about and wanted to focus on. After doing a lot of cruises for my customers I decided this was an area I wanted to focus on as I think it's a great way to travel and see a number of different destinations and cultures in one trip and with only having to unpack just ONCE! In my travels I have been to USA, England, Majority of Europe, Doha, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, and Fiji.

Get to know the crew onboard your ship especially the Bar Staff. They are the people who know all the best places to visit in the ports of call and they will have lots of handy hints to help you spend your time wisely.

I love to travel and have been lucky enough to see most of the world during 12 years working for Princess Cruises as Food and Beverage Manager. I have a passion for cruising and believe its the best way to go on holiday as you only need to unpack once and you can do as much or as little as you like with your time onboard.

Staying on the ship during a shore day can give you the chance to enjoy onboard life in a quieter, more low key way.

From party cruises in the Baltic to a classy Cunard voyage, I’ve been lucky enough to experience the full spectrum of cruise life. Onboard you’ll probably find me by the pool with a doorstop sized book in one hand and a mojito in the other, or sampling an array of delicious foods.

Travel Insurance is highly recommended every time you travel both local and overseas. Odds are that you won’t need the travel insurance you buy, but when you do, it’s a lifesaver. It can cover a tons of different things, including if you get hurt or sick on your trip. It’s also handy if you lose your luggage or miss the ship and have to make alternate arrangements to meet your ship elsewhere or get back home, etc.

I have been working in a Tourism Industry for more than 10 years now. I've worked in a reputable travel agencies both local and overseas. And I Love to Travel to get away from the chaos of life and when I come home I've gained more perspective.

If you are worried about getting sea-sick, take some sea sickness medication at least two prior to getting on board to help your body adjust.

Have been in travel for 10+ years now having worked with Airlines, Hotels and other travel agents, so can offer all round advice. Found my calling with Cruises when I realised the value that it included and the fun times to be had. Packing and unpacking once is just the way I like to travel and is a great feature of cruising. I've been to a total of 27 countries including most of Europe, India and the Middle East

If you wish to explore the destination your cruise is departing from, it is a good idea to arrive there a couple days earlier to explore.

I joined Cruise Sale Finder at the beginning of 2017. Traveling is a big part of my life having visited 15 countries. My first cruise was on Dawn Princess and from the moment I stepped onboard I caught the cruising bug. Since then I have also sailed on Majestic Princess, Celebrity Solstice and Explorer of the Seas. I have been in the travel industry as a Cruise Specialist for 5 years. Taking a cruise takes the money hassle out of a vacation. You don't need to rent a car or drive. If you want to go on an excursion, you book your adventure, and the tour guide does the driving for you.

When cruising you should unplug. Cruising offers a totally different experience so take it all in. Keep yourself free from distractions and stay present to not miss out on surprises happening simultaneously while on your voyage. In any case though, if one really has the FOMO (fear of missing out), internet is available on board most ships so you should check out the variety of internet packages available.

Traveling has always been my passion. It humbles me, keeps me grounded and shifts my perspective in life. I took a leap of faith when I entered the travel industry. It did not take long for me to realize that I have found my niche. My degree in Communications matched the passion I have for travel. I have the gift of gab and talking about a cruise holiday has always been a favorite topic of mine.

If there is an option for dining time you should try and opt for the 2nd seating because many of the excursions won’t get you back in time for the early seating.

I'm a graduate of Tourism Management and have been working within the industry for 3 years, working for P&O Australia, P&O World cruising and Cunard as a Cruise Specialist.
