Abu Dhabi, on the coast of the Arabian Peninsula in the Persian Gulf, is the capital and second largest city of the United Arab Emirates. Rapidly developed and urbanised, today Abu Dhabi is a large and advanced city and it is the country's center for politics, industry, culture and commerce. Public Transport includes taxis, buses, ferries and air travel. Official taxis are white and mustard coloured.

Abu Dhabi is hot and dry, and sunshine is to be expected throughout the year. June through September is more humid, and during this time sandstorms also occur intermittently, in some cases reducing visibility down to a few meters. The weather is cooler from November to March, and dense fog can occur some days during this period.
